When I first starting doing business on the Internet what got me the most excited was that I could do business with clients in any location – including those outside my country. Before the Internet I wouldn’t have had the resources to market outside my own town.
Well now the big opportunity is a lot closer to home. Offline businesses in your local community are now more trusting and understanding of how the Internet with it’s global scope can actually help a business that relies on local traffic.
As a result of better online services and directories, consumers can now use the Internet to find the most current information about their local vendors. This wasn’t always the case and was probably the reason why a lot of retail stores were not benefiting from the Internet in recent years.
Now that there are directories on Google specifically geared to local searches, businesses from theaters to hairdressers are realizing the importance and benefit of posting updated information about their promotions and new products and services.
Here’s the opportunity part:
If you’re a good marketer you can sell your knowledge and competence in online marketing to offline businesses in your local community or city. If you’re web designer or have even the most basic knowledge on how to set up a blog/website, you can also sell your services.
Of course you’ll need to brush up on your skills so you can speak competently about the Internet and marketing online, but that’s where websites like this and courses like the one I’m about to share with you will and can make a difference in your business strategy.
Become a Consultant
My goal in creating Small Business Study is to reduce the time you spend searching for answers and to share with you tried and true resources. There are a lot of books and courses on becoming an effective marketer and consultant. Here’s one that cuts to the chase and provides you with practical information, steps and ideas you can implement right away.
If you’re ready to become a leader in your local market or even just to enhance your range of services, I encourage you to take a look at the Become a Blog Consultant course.
You’ll receive 51 lessons right away and access to a forum and community of other blog consultants where you can share questions and discuss your journey.
To your success!
Sharon
